Wesley Sneijder and Manchester United?

The DailyMail has just released news that Wesley Sneijder has admitted to media that he would have to consider an offer to join Louis van Gaal at Manchester United next season if Van Gaal were to ever make him an offer. Sneijder has been in great form during the opening matches of the world cup. Sneijder has also settled in at Galatasaray successfully; the Turkish club is competing for an unprecedented 20th League Title and finished second this past season.

Media has quoted Wesley Sneijder saying:

‘In the Netherlands, Van Gaal is something like the head teacher of a school. Not everyone is lucky enough to get into his good books,’ he said.

‘He trains his players very hard and always expects the highest standards. I am happy at Galatasaray, I have established myself at the club and have settled in.

‘However, if Van Gaal were to make me an offer, I would have to at least consider it. Nobody from the Netherlands can simply reject Van Gaal.’

We all already know the squad will have a different look and style of play at Old Trafford next season, but how different could it be?

Wesley Sneijder has had a very good football career, starting at Ajax before moving to Real Madrid in 2007 for a record fee. After Real Madrid, he joined Internazionale for the 2009-2010 & 2010-2011 seasons before signing to Galatasaray in 2013. It would be interesting to see Van Gaal make an offer, can Manchester United’s roster make some room for a player like Wesley Sneijder?
